Rosemary Nivar -- Post 2

The conversations I've been having with my fellow Bonner have been deep and thoughtful. We all have undoubtedly been learning something new each time. With each new site visit and and each new conversation from Virginians. I have a stronger understanding of slavery and it's role in not only America, but the new world. And I learned about how even today, much of the history of slavery and all it's terror was swept under the rug. And we're told to forgot about slavery when all the while the confederacy is still worshipped and remembered. I've been enjoying these past couple days.
